There is often misconceptions and confusion when ordering anything from the internet. You are unsure of the company, of the prices, and of the quality of the product you want to purchase.
Luckily you are ordering from MrWatch.com, so you know our prices are low and all of our items are brand new and authentic!
Even so, confusion or misconceptions can still be a problem. Some of the most common questions we receive deal with our Seiko watches. Worry no more, for everything will become clear.
We will list some common questions here and their answers. Okay, here goes.
Question #1
I received my Seiko, but it is in a different box than I expected and there is no manual included! Why?
Answer
Seiko has created over 10 different boxes to accommodate their watches. As a result, we have a myriad of Seiko boxes that are ever changing. Seiko, like many manufacturers, ship their watches separately from the boxes.
Now, regarding the manual question: many of Seiko’s watches are relatively simple, and are automatic with a date function. Or maybe the watch is automatic, with no other programmable features. As a result, paper manuals are not provided to us for these models. If you visit Seiko’s website, many of their manuals exist here to eliminate paper usage. Also if you have any questions regarding the functions of your watch our trained specialists would be happy to assist.
Question #2
I need to obtain warranty work on my Seiko watch. Where do I send this?
Answer
Most of our Seiko watches can be sent back to Seiko directly for warranty repair. However, we do carry the Seiko 5 Automatic line, and this line cannot be sent to Seiko directly. Why, you wonder? We’ll tell you! These watches originally were created and manufactured for the Japanese market, not the US market. We found the quality and price point of these automatic watches to be a good addition to our selection. However, as a result, Seiko does not provide warranty themselves for these models. Never fear though – we would never sell a watch without a warranty! These particular watches have a one year warranty through our company directly. We will handle everything for you. Piece of cake!
Question #3
When I looked at the Seiko watch I bought online, the picture showed the date as being red. But it is Wednesday today and the day is grey or black. Why?
Answer
For many Seiko watches with a date feature, the picture of the watch shows Sunday in the date window. Sunday is often the color red on Seiko watches. However, the other days of the week are grey or black. This is simply a design feature – we promise you received the right watch!
Question #4
I ordered a Seiko watch from MrWatch, and when I received it the days of the week are in Spanish! How do I get the day to appear in English?
Answer
Don’t worry – we can help. Many of the Seiko watch models with a date feature come with the ability to view the days in Spanish and in English. The fix for this is easy – just pull out the crown and turn the days of the week. As soon as you get to the correct day in English, push the crown back in and you are good to go! The days will now advance properly, and in English.
Question #5
My Seiko watch is running slow or my Seiko watch is running fast. What do I do?
Answer
If your watch is “Quartz”, or has a battery, you will most likely need to have the battery replaced if this happens. However, if you watch is automatic, there is no battery. Over time, all automatic watches generally need servicing to regulate the time. Even so, your brand new watch might need calibrated shortly after receiving it, or even right away. Calibration refers to servicing the watch to “fine tune it”. Basically this is when a watch service professional very carefully adjusts the timing of the watch so that they can hone in the accuracy.
